About Sudoku
The iconic Japanese puzzle game is all about logic – no math or calculation needed. Just clear thinking and attention. It’s easy to pick up, fun to play, and perfect for quick breaks or long flights.
How to Play Sudoku
Your goal is to fill a 9×9 grid using digits 1 to 9 so that each row, column, and 3×3 square includes each digit exactly once. At the start of each game, some numbers are already filled in.
Use logic to place the rest and complete the grid. Keep in mind: a move is incorrect if:
- Any row has the same number more than once
- Any column has the same number more than once
- Any 3×3 grid has the same number more than once
Sudoku Tips
Sudoku is fun and calming once you get into it. But if you’re new, here are some simple tips to help you improve your game:
- Tip 1: Start with rows or boxes that already have 5 or more numbers. You’ll often find digits that fit in only one spot.
- Tip 2: Break the grid into visual zones — 3 rows × 3 columns. When two zones have the same number, the third often gives it away. Use logic to narrow down the options.
