Readable at the size you print.
- Start with the finished page size. A4 and Letter portrait pages leave comfortable space for a 9 × 9 grid.
- Check the puzzle before styling. Conflicting clues or several possible solutions cannot be fixed by a better-looking layout.
- Keep contrast high. Use dark digits on white and thicker lines around the nine boxes. For large print, use one puzzle per page.
- Proof the actual export. Print one page at 100%, check the small text and scan any QR code from the paper copy.

Can I use the Canva app today?
Not yet. We are building and testing it. In the meantime, the printable Sudoku generator creates puzzles and answer sheets on the website.
What is planned for the app?
Generate puzzles or import an 81-cell grid, check it has one solution, and add editable titles, grid lines and digits to a Canva design. Planned layouts include classroom, newsletter and minimal book pages, with matching answers and batches of up to 12 puzzles.
How will a printed puzzle connect to the online game?
Optional publishing will create a play link and QR code for the exact clues on the page. Changing the digits later in Canva will not change the hosted puzzle. Always check the final printed code before distributing it.
Will imported puzzles be published automatically?
No. Publishing is a separate choice. A published link is accessible to anyone who has it; it is not private storage. Individual play pages will be marked noindex and excluded from the sitemap.
Do the designs require a Sudokumax credit?
The app’s small credit is optional. The default colour palette and Inter typeface match Sudokumax, and creators can customise the design.
Can I sell puzzle books made with the app?
The creator licensing terms are being prepared before release. Check the final terms before selling outputs, and make sure you have permission to use any puzzle you import.
