SUDOKUMAX FOR PUBLISHERS
A little puzzle.
A reason to return.
Make Sudoku part of your readers’ day. A fresh daily puzzle, in your colours, right on your website.
Publishing a weekly feature?
Create a fixed puzzle for an article or newsletter. Add your publication name, download matching images and answer sheets, and copy an embed that keeps the exact same puzzle.

Customise the game, then copy your embed code.
Every size shrinks to fit smaller screens. Height adjusts automatically.
Drag a handle to reorder sections, or use the arrows. Reordering creates a custom layout.
- Title and print
- Date and difficulty
- Board
- Numbers
- Tools
- Status
Example: 6 October 2026
Each new incorrect number costs one life. Notes and hints do not. Undo does not restore lives.
Add it to your website
Paste into a Custom HTML or Embed block. In Ghost, use an HTML card. Include the script for automatic height. Email newsletters need an image and a play link instead.
No account or API key. If your editor removes scripts, the game still works inside a scrollable frame.
One less thing to publish.
A new puzzle every day at midnight UTC. Choose easy, medium, or hard; your embed takes care of the rest.
A puzzle for every reader.
Play on a phone, use a keyboard, or print a clean puzzle with an optional answer sheet. Progress stays in the reader’s browser when storage is available.
Your colours. Your community.
For local newsrooms, school websites, community pages, and hobby blogs. Match your palette and choose whether to show a small credit.
THE PRACTICAL DETAILS
Easy to add.
Easy to live with.
What is included for free?
The daily game, three difficulty choices, custom colours, notes, undo, hints, progress saving, print mode, and the WordPress plugin. No registration or payment is required.
When does the puzzle change?
Every day at 00:00 UTC. Everyone using the same difficulty gets the same daily puzzle. An open game offers the new puzzle without clearing the one a reader is solving. Printed puzzles keep their original date.
Do I have to link to Sudokumax?
No. The optional credit is a small attribution and referral link marked nofollow. You may remove it at no cost. There is no requirement for an editorial link or a link that passes ranking credit.
Does the widget track my readers?
The embedded game loads no advertising or analytics scripts and sets no analytics cookies. It uses browser storage to save puzzle progress where available. Like other embedded content, loading it sends a request to Sudokumax’s hosting provider, which may process IP addresses and request logs. Include the embed in your site’s privacy disclosure.
What if my site blocks the embed?
Your editor must allow iframes, and your site’s Content Security Policy must allow https://sudokumax.com in frame-src. WordPress sites can use the downloadable plugin and a Shortcode block. If your plan does not support plugins or iframes, link readers to our daily puzzle.
Can I use it in my newspaper or school?
Yes. You may embed the widget on commercial or non-commercial websites and distribute its printed puzzles to your readers or students. Please keep the puzzle’s date and difficulty so answer sheets can be matched. Attribution is appreciated but optional.
