The conditions for using the Sudokumax API and MCP service.

Everything you publish using the service must reference the website. Online, make that reference a visible, clickable link. Offline, print the website address.
These API terms supplement the Sudokumax Terms of Use. The summary above is a quick reference; the conditions below apply to your use of the service.
01Free API access
API calls are free. Create an account and generate an API key before using the service. No payment details are required.
Free access is conditional on meeting the attribution requirement and following the service limits.
02Credit Sudokumax on every published output
Every puzzle, game, worksheet, answer sheet, image or other output you publish using this service must visibly reference Sudokumax. This applies when you modify, embed, print, distribute or commercially publish the output.
When you publish online
Include a visible, clickable hyperlink to https://sudokumax.com alongside the puzzle or game. For example, display “Created with Sudokumax” and link it to the website.

When you publish offline
Print sudokumax.com legibly on each puzzle, worksheet, answer sheet or other exported item. A QR code may accompany the address, but does not replace it.
When you edit or redistribute an export
Keep the attribution in generated PDFs and other exports. If you create your own layout or share an image online, preserve the visible credit and add the clickable website link to the surrounding page or caption.
03API keys & access controls
Keep your keys secret and call the API from your server. Do not embed a secret key in public browser code or a distributed app. You can revoke your keys at any time from your API-key dashboard.
Sudokumax may suspend an account or revoke a key for missing attribution, abuse, attempts to bypass limits or other breaches of these terms.
Revocation blocks future authenticated API and MCP requests, including PDF download links associated with the key. It cannot remove files already downloaded or recall public puzzle links. Those outputs still require attribution.

Public puzzle links contain the grid and can be opened by anyone who has the complete URL. Do not put private information in puzzle links.
05Account data & recovery
To operate this service, we store your account email, password hash, hashed credentials, accepted terms version, key names, usage counters and access-control records.
Supabase manages sign-in, email confirmation and password recovery. Use the same account as the Sudokumax website and apps. Changing your password revokes existing developer API keys and PDF download grants.
